Park Rules

1. No pets are allowed at Safari Country.

Visitors with pets will not be allowed to open their windows in the fields. Those who are found with their windows open, will be escorted out of the field. No pets are allowed out of the vehicle at any given time. Domestic animals present potential health and safety risks to our animals, along with undue stress.

2. Stay in your vehicle with doors closed at all times.

Most of Safari Country’s animals are free-roaming and may approach the vehicle. For visitor safety, all tailgates, vehicle doors, and hatchbacks must be closed at all times. Individuals must be seated within the vehicle which includes not sitting on your window ledges or on top of the vehicle. Vehicles with “soft doors”, “tube doors”, or doors removed, such as Jeeps, will not be allowed to enter the park.

3. Do not honk your horn.

This could frighten the animals, or cause them to stampede, or kick your car, which could cause major damage to your automobile.

4. Stay on the gravel tour route and obey the 5-mph speed limit.

There are no turn-arounds on the route, continue going straight at all times.

5. Do not stop within 50 feet on either side of any gates or cattle guards.

Animals may be tempted to walk over the bars and could injure themselves.

6. Pull over to the side of the road when stopping with vehicles behind.

Pull over even when feeding animals. Pulling over allows other vehicles to pass.

7. Do not feed anything but the pellets we provide at Safari Country.

Feeding the animals any food other than the pellets we give you may result in serious health problems.

8. Do not grab or restrain the animals.

Remember, these are animals with horns. Do not lean out of your window with animals nearby. When feeding, keep windows completely rolled down.  Do not attempt to put your window up with an animal’s head in your vehicle. Slowly pull forward to get the animal’s head out before closing the window to avoid injury to the animal or causing damage to your vehicle.

9. Remove any flags, balls, or other loose objects from the outside of your vehicle.

Animals are attracted to colorful moving objects that, if eaten, could result in serious injury.

10. Do not entice our animals with food to put their head inside your vehicles to feed them.

This can severely hurt our animals and/or cause damage to your vehicle.

11. Keep all trash and cigarette butts in your vehicle.

Litter can result in serious injury to the animals and cigarettes can cause grass fires.
